pass plus motorway driving lessonsPass plus motorway training has had a lot of positive press recently for new and qualified drivers - have you given any thought about the benefits that this small amount of extra training could give you:

        • Confidence on any motorway
  • Dual carriageways
  • Town and city driving
  • Rural roads
  • All weather and night driving

The pass plus syllabus for new and qualified drivers has been designed by the DSA and the driving instruction industry. It provides structured, competence-based training, including motorway lessons delivered by approved driving instructors (ADI's).  As well as the standard syllabus, we provide training and information on further subjects.  Register your details for further information…

Newly qualified drivers are much more vulnerable than they realise. Motorway driving is not complusory but there are many dangers facing, particulary,  young people, who are more likely to have an accident within their first two years of driving than at any other time in their driving career.

"Two young people die every day in crashes in the UK. In their first year of driving, one driver in five is involved in a crash"

It’s not just about age though – newly qualified drivers are a higher than average risk whatever their age.  Driving is a life skill – while many life skills are learned through trial and error, the consequence of error on the road may be catastrophic. The aim of Pass Plus is to enable new and qualified drivers to:

  • Develop your existing skills
  • Acquire the new skills and knowledge that make up positive driving
  • Further develop anticipation skills, plan & deal for hazards safely
  • Understand how to reduce the risk of your having a crash
  • Maintain a courteous and considerate attitude to other road users
  • Boost your confidence should you be nervous driving on your own

Cheap car insurance for learner drivers

Pass Plus also offers financial incentives to further develop your skills for safer driving.  Check at http://www.passplus.org.uk/  or phone 0115 9012633 to see if your current insurer participates in the Pass Plus scheme and see how you could save up to 40% on your car insurance. This can be a significant some of money considering the cost of insurance teenage and young drivers have to pay for insurance. Remember that not everyone on the roads follows the rules, but you can set a good example and not follow theirs.
